Vicky & Lovy du Zaire 1970-1973

 It has been awhile since I last posted any music but I have been very busy with school recently and have had little time to upload music however there qas some spare time today so I hope everyone enjoys this post.
On a previous post here on the blog I mentioned that one of my favorite music genres is Congolese rumba and that one best artists I had found in this genre was Vicky & Lovy du Zaire. Today we have some more music from this amazing genre and group. I highly recommend this album if you enjoy rumba or would like to have an introduction to the genre.

Orchestra Lovy Du Zaire

Congolese rumba is arguably one of my favorite styles of music with its incredible guitar work and great rhythms that make you forget all your troubles and make you just want to get up and dance. Orchestra Lovy Du Zaire is a group I came across online and have really enjoyed the few songs by them that I have been able to find and listen to. Here I compile them for you so you can enjoy this great music which so little people in the west know about.

Tumbele! Biguine Afro & Latin Sounds From the French Carribean 1963-1974

Unlike the music from Jamaica and the English speaking Caribbean the music of the French Caribbean is for the most part unknown outside of the French speaking world. Tumbele presents music from the French speaking islands of Haiti and the islands Guadeloupe and Mountinique which if I am not mistaken to this day are still governed by Paris. The music on this album is a mixture of Congolese rumba, Hatian compas, and Cuban guguancos and biguine which all mixed together to form the unique style of Tumbele. This music is testament to the inmense multi-cultural past that this part of the world has had. Also I really recommend this album if you like any sort of music that features electric guitar as some of the songs on here have some of the coolest guitar riffs and solos that you will hear.
